Jim Bracey (6K's)hurled 5 and 2/3 innings of  3 hit, 1 (un-earned) run relief in leading the R.I Red Sox to come- from-behind 7-6 win over the Hurricanes in the season opener for both teams. Trailing 6-2 in the bottom of the 5th, the Sox plated 4 runs to tie the score on the strength of a 2 run single by Mark DiOrio and a 2 run double by Ernie Ricci.  The Sox won the game in the bottom of the 9th on a lead off single by Scottie Owen, stolen base, sac bunt  by Steve Readey and walk-off single to left by Jim Cooney.


Ernie Ricci was 4-4 with a double  and 2 RBI in his debut game  for the Sox and Mark DiDorio was 1-3 with a walk and 2 RBI in his.

Keith Fisher (R, RBI, 2 BB), Rick Machado (RBI, BB), Scott Owen (R, SB), and Jim Cooney (R, RBI, 2 ROE) all had 2 hits for The Sox.

Mike Goduto ( R, 2 RBI) and Steve Lorimer (BB, R, ROE) each had 2 hits for the 'Canes.
