RI Musicians come together to raise money and awareness "GIVE THE DRUMMER SOME"
To be held on Sunday May 4th at the Met Cafe. This event is a fundraiser produced by the non-profit Tune In & Tune Up (T-2) musicians health awareness program. The goal, to continue to benefit RI Musicians and Music workers who might find themselves in need of Medical or Mental Health assistance.
We're bringing together some local high-end Musicians to celebrate banging on the drum for a day! To date T-2 has re-donated over $30,000 dollars back into our music community. We have big plans for more programs, including a new website that will share resources and information pertaining to our health awareness topic. This is a very unique show and for a great cause, if you're a drummer or appreciate the healing power of Rhythm this is an event not to be missed.

Joe Gilmartin , a former player for the Salty Dogs tragically died Monday while hauling his lobster gear off of Black Point in Narragansett. Scott Partington’s Narragansett Fire and rescue did all they could while transporting him to South County Hospital. Joe played his younger years with Noah Clark and Al Alvarez in the Newport Sunset League. He will be certainly missed down at the docks in Galilee where he had a smile and laugh with all that knew him.
